Scott Bailey was appointed Senior coach of Meadows Football Club at the end of the 2017 season. Scott was appointed after 2 years of leading the reserves and taking them through to a finals campaign which seen them fall just short of ultimate success. Scott has been apart of the HFL for many years previously playing over 250 senior games for the Echunga FC and in his later years Meadows FC. Over the past few years Scotts focus have been about re-establishing our squad and playing group to a level that will see us be able to have sustained success into the future. Going into his 4th year as Senior Coach the priority will be seeing this group return to finals action for the Bulldogs, which has not happened since 2016.

JOE (1).jpg

Joe Schwab, or Widget as he is commonly known around Meadows, has been involved with the Meadows Football Club for over a decade. He played of all his junior football through Panther League and Colts in the green and gold, before moving into off field roles when his junior days were finished. Joe previously coached the club’s under 13s and under 15s teams, with some of those players beginning to filter through senior ranks within the club. For many years, and three different coaches, Joe also recorded statistics for each A grade game, while also writing match reports for The Courier and the Southern Argus. He has also filled the role of B grade runner and goal umpire, while also having pulled the boots on to help out over the past few years. Having moved back into the area late last year, after four years living in the Riverland, Joe joins the senior coaching ranks within the Meadows Football Club in 2021 as reserves coach. At the age of just 26, Joe is looking forward to working with A grade coach Scott Bailey in helping to guide our talented playing group to success in the coming years.
